Littelfuse has upgraded its switching thyristor product line by introducing SJ series high temperature SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) ​​switching thyristors. This new series provides circuit designers with up to 600V blocking voltage (VDRM) and 4A to 40A rated current to support a variety of applications. By giving designers greater operating margins than earlier SCRs, they can withstand insufficient cooling and higher inrush current at startup. "The high junction temperature of the SJ series thyristors is 150 ° C, which ensures greater operating margins and enables devices in compact packages to provide performance comparable to large packages," said Koichiro, Business Development Manager, Semiconductor Business Yoshimoto said.
