      Mouser Electronics, an authorized global distributor of semiconductors and electronic components focused on new product introductions, announced a worldwide distribution agreement with Advanced Photonix, a division of OSI Optoelectronics. Advanced Photonix is an established supplier of innovative photonics, optoelectronics products and advanced electronic systems serving today's aerospace, medical and industrial OEMs requiring high reliability, high performance technology solutions. Under the agreement, Mouser will distribute the company's P-I-N, APD photodiodes and hybrid devices using materials such as silicon and InGaAs, as well as LDR photocells using CdS.

    Advanced Photonix designs, develops and manufactures complex photodetectors, emitters and photoresistors. With advanced in-house semiconductor manufacturing services, Advanced Photonix is ​​able to provide high-quality, reliable optoelectronic components and subsystems. With over 30 years of expertise in optoelectronics, the company is able to develop efficient manufacturing processes that exceed stringent standards for industrial, medical and other applications.

      Advanced Photonix UV-enhanced silicon photodiodes provide a high-performance, cost-effective solution for applications requiring highly sensitive devices at UV wavelengths. The product has the characteristics of low noise, high shunt resistance and high response, and the effective area diameter is 2.54mm. Red-enhanced P-I-N and four-quadrant silicon photodiodes feature devices that vary in functionality and packaging for a variety of applications. These devices are not only highly accurate, but also have a large effective area and low crosstalk, making them ideal for precise zeroing, centering, or small position change measurements. Blue-enhanced P-I-N photodiodes feature high response, large effective area, and low noise, making them ideal for high-speed response applications at blue wavelengths.

       The Advanced Photonix CdS photocell is a light dependent resistor (LDR) sensitive to visible light in the wavelength range of 400nm to 700nm. The LDR has a variety of resistance ranges to choose from, and its resistance will decrease with the increase of illuminance, and the efficiency of this change is similar to that of the human eye.
