A new high performance dual channel operational amplifier has been added to the STmicro 5V product line. Gain bandwidth (GBW)30MHz, input offset voltage (typical value) 50µV, the new product TSV78230MHz can achieve high speed, high accuracy signal conditioning.
With a minimum operating voltage of 2.0V, the TSV782 can operate normally even after deep battery discharge, thus extending the working time of devices such as smoke alarms. With only 3.3mA operating current per channel, this helps designers maximize the application energy budget and enables richer features, such as innovative smart features and wireless connectivity. In addition, the minimum operating voltage of 2.0V also allows the opamps to use the same power rails as low-voltage logic devices, simplifying system design and reducing bill of material costs.
The TSV782 is equipped with rail-to-rail input and output with a maximum swing rate of 20V/µs. It belongs to the high-performance rail-to-rail op-amp series of STMICRO. The series also includes TSV772 with GBW 20MHz gain bandwidth, 13V/µs maximum swing rate and 50MHzTSV792 with 5.5mA operating current per channel. Stmicro's other opamps include the TSV7722 and related products with low-orbit input stages optimized for low-side current measurements in power conversion systems.
Configuration. The high accuracy of STmicro's 5V opamPs allows designers to develop circuits that do not require fine-tuning or calibration on the production line, thus saving on expensive external components such as precision resistors and potentiometers. The new TSV782 has a maximum input bias current of 300pA at temperatures up to 125°C, enabling accurate signal conditioning performance in analog circuits using high-impedance sensors or transimpedance amplifiers.
The TSV782 is now in mass production in packages including SO-8, MiniSO-8, and 2mm x DFN8, 2mm of which the DFN8 is the smallest package of its kind in the industry.
