TDK - Robust capacitors offer an increased rated voltage

 TDK Corporation has a series of EPCOS MKP Y2 capacitors for EMI suppression. The conventional type is designed for a rated voltage of 300VAC, and these new capacitors provide an allowable rated voltage of 350VAC. The B3203 series has a capacitance range of 4.7nF to 1.2μF. Capacitors provide stable capacitance values ​​even under harsh environmental conditions. They have passed IEC 60384-14: 2013 / AMD1: 2016 certification and are classified according to "Class III High Durability under High Humidity Test B". This can be verified by temperature, humidity, and bias (THB) tests at 85 ° C, 85% relative humidity, and 350VAC operating voltage. Under this test condition, the capacitance drop may not exceed 10%. The maximum operating temperature is 110C. Typical applications for the new capacitors include EMI suppression in filters that require higher voltage ratings under harsh environmental conditions, such as in photovoltaic inverters or automotive applications.
