Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the introduction of Vishay's first 19.0 mm x 17.1 mm x 7.0 mm 6767 form factor, rated current up to 155 A, IHSR high temperature inductors Qualified to AEC-Q200 --- IHSR-6767GZ-5A. The Vishay Dale IHSR-6767GZ-5A is designed for polyphase high current power supplies and input/output filters, suitable for applications such as automotive engine compartments and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with higher DC internal resistance (DCR) than general power inductors 50 % smaller in size than similar ferrite solutions.
The recently released automotive-grade inductors with frequencies up to 5 MHz are ideal for DC/DC converter energy storage and high-current filtering applications. Devices operate up to +155 C, filtering and DC/DC conversion for a variety of applications, including advanced driver assistance systems and lidar (LIDAR) microprocessors, 12 V / 48 V vacuumless braking systems, on-board chargers (OBC) and brushless DC motors up to 140 A. In these applications, the typical DC internal resistance of the IHSR-6767GZ-5A is as low as 0.24 mΩ, the inductance value is 0.22 µH, the current density is higher than that of similar technologies, and compared with other solutions, it has no hard saturation over the entire operating temperature range, and has more Excellent current saturation stability.
The inductor adopts a 100% lead (Pb)-free shielded composite structure, which reduces the buzzing noise to an ultra-low level, has high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical vibration, and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation. The device is RoHS and Vishay Green compliant and halogen free.
